Meet the Team

At Alexandria Lactation Partners, we believe every family’s feeding journey is unique. As co-founders, Cara Greer and Bobby-Jean Bauch combine professional expertise with personal experience to provide compassionate, evidence-based support. Our goal is to help parents feel confident, cared for, and empowered every step of the way.

  • Cara is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University. She began her nursing career in intensive care and ambulatory surgery, where she developed a strong clinical foundation. Her passion for lactation care was sparked through her own breastfeeding journey as a mother of four.

Today, Cara combines evidence-based practice with compassionate, individualized support to help families achieve their breastfeeding goals. She is committed to providing expert guidance in a warm, approachable manner, recognizing that every parent and baby is unique.

Cara lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband and four children. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, and reading.

  • Bobby-Jean is a Licensed Vocational Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She began her healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2000 and later worked in healthcare management before pursuing nursing. Her passion for lactation support grew from her own breastfeeding experiences as a mother of three, including navigating exclusive pumping and latch challenges.

Today, Bobby-Jean combines professional training with personal empathy to guide families through their breastfeeding journeys with compassion and evidence-based care.

Bobby-Jean lives with her husband, Jed, a retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and their three children. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, running, long walks and spending time with her family.
